Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Personal&Household Goods, Financials and Software&Computer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.52%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 2.15% or 4.0 points to trade at 189.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 1.90% or 15.0 points to end at 804.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 0.26% or 1.4 points to 528.6 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 4.89% or 4.6 points to trade at 89.0 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) declined 4.51% or 10.7 points to end at 226.5 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 3.40% or 6.7 points to 189.1.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 91 to 31 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.89% or 4.6 to 89.0. Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.40% or 6.7 to 189.1.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.83% or 2.76 to $54.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.36% or 2.67 to hit $58.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 15.35 to trade at $1529.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.24% to 6.6957, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4596.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 97.812.
